Create your own media channel with Dave.TV

Dave.TV is a “Social Broadcasting Network” where you can create your own channel filled with your favorite videos, music, and photos. You can then post your channel on your blog to share with friends. Being a “TV” social networking site I would expect a bit more from their demos but they are still helpful when getting started using the site.

Vodpod interview and video demo

Vodpod is a place where you can upload and store your favorite videos into your own “pod” and talk about them with friends. Here’s an interesting video interview and demo featuring the co-founder of Vodpod courtesy of PodTech. Following is a screencast demo I created a while back on Screeniac.

SynapseLife and their funky demos

I just received an email from Mark Michael of SynapseLife. It was a little strange, as it was a reply to an email I had sent in the beginning of October and my question had already been answered. Anyway, the email only contained a link to their front page letting me know they had screencast demos up. OK, great. I’m glad that you put some time into showing people how to use your service. The biggest problem I had was that I couldn’t watch them with the speakers on as all five demos have the same “groovy” music playing. If I didn’t already know what SynapseLife was, those screencasts wouldn’t do it for me. Below are the five screencast demos for SynapseLife followed by one that I made months ago on Screeniac. (Just so ya know guys, I’m not saying my screencast was all that great. People have very different tastes in music, so it’s hard to please everyone.)

You can unwrap Zoho Notebook but you can't play with it yet

By unwrap I mean you can watch a demo of Zoho Notebook in action. You can’t play with it yet because it’s not due to launch publicly until March, says Nick Gonzalez on Techcrunch. I was going to complain about the demo until I read on the Zoho blog that it was RajuVegesna’s first attempt at a screencast, and I know how hard creating those first few screencasts can be. Good job, and I can’t wait until I can try out Zoho Notebook.

Add text to boring videos with Mojiti

Mojiti allows you to add text narration to any video. Use it to add subtitles, comments, or just to narrate your own video. Here is a short demo video showing Mojiti in action.
