down2night lets the fun find you

Down2night is a free service that keeps you updated on events happening at your favorite venues or “spots” in your city by sending you notifications via sms. Subscribe to the spots you like, pick the days of the week you want to be notified, and you can also view all of your spots on a map. Currently, down2night is only available in select cities but you can go here and request that your city be added.  Here’s my screencast tour of down2night:

Screencast of Google Notebooks makeover

Google Notebook is something that I’d kind of forgot about until last week when I read it had received a slight makeover. I decided to check it out again today and I think I like what I see. You can now add comments to your web clippings, create multiple notebooks, create sections within your notebooks, publish them to the web, and drag and drop your notes for quick organization. Google Notebook is now available in 17 languages and you can search in your notebooks or published notebooks. Here’s my screencast tour of Google Notebook:
