Get in on the neighborhood gossip before you buy with Zillow's new Q&A

Zillow is an online real estate guide that provides both buyers and sellers with more then just a bunch of listings. They just launched a new feature called Home Q&A which allows potential buyers to ask questions about a particular property and hopefully get a response from someone in the neighborhood. This is awesome. You could ask about parking availability, noise, safety, and even try to get the goods on your potential new neighbors. I wish there was something like this out there for renters. If there is, please let me know! Here’s a screencast tour of Zillow which includes a brief overview of the site and the new Q&A :

Google Maps newest addition, My Maps

My Maps is a new feature added to Google Maps. With My Maps, you can easily place markers anywhere on a Google Map, draw lines to indicate a path, and add photos and video to your markers. You can customize your markers to represent specific types of locations, publish your maps to the web, and share them with friends and family. The one thing I wish they added is tabs located within the markers so you could view details about the location in one tab and then view photos and videos in another tab. Oh well, you can’t have it all. I’ll definitely be using this for mapping out camping trips I’d like to take this summer. Here’s my screencast tour of My Maps:
