There are a lot of online event planning services out there right now. I’ve already done a screencast for Planypus, which is more of a get together with your buddies and whatcha doin’ this weekend kind of service. I also did a screencast for Renkoo a while back, which is more of a place to plan your next knitting party or decide where to have happy hour on Thursdays. Setdot isn’t so much about collaboration and fly by the seat of your pants planning. It wants to be more sophisticated and at the same time straightforward, which it is. All you have to do is create an invitation for the event, invite you friends, and wait and see who responds. There aren’t any unnecessary features and you can customize the themes they provide with your own photos. Here’s my screencast tour of setdot:

    Hey,

Thanks for mentioning Planypus (again) :) . We appreciate it. We have a new redesign comming and a better UI. Think of us as yoour wiki for your social life.

btw.. i know you like the fact that with Setdot you can customize themes, well with Planypus you can add all sorts of sweet rich media, such as music, pics and youtube videos not only to the Planspace but also to the comments… customization heaven!
