ScreenDance Debut! Celebrities of the Internet
Well, it’s Friday, and that means it’s time for another one of my lovely, total waste of your time, screencast slideshows. There is a problem though – these aren’t screencasts at all. I’ve been trying to come up with a word for these “screencast slideshows” that I’ve started making, but I just can’t think of anything. That is, until now. ScreenDancing is the the term and I stole it from my friend Marty. You see, sometimes people like to make fun of screencasting and that’s why Marty thinks it’s funny to say that I’m a screendancer. So today it hit me – that’s exactly what I’m going to call these slideshows! Why? Well, you’re watching these various clips on your screen and I purposely add music to them that’s supposed to make you want to dance, or something like that. Viola, screendancing was born.
In this screendance, I thought I’d share with you some folks who are considered to be celebrities of the Internet. You may not know who some of these people are and you may think that I’ve left out some key players, but that’s OK. Everyone has their own idea of who’s actually an Internet celebrity. Some of these people are bloggers, Internet TV personalities, start-up founders, and some are just your run of the mill billionaires. I even included two of my brothers because, while they’re not “Internet celebrities”, they do contribute to some of what you use today on the Internet (and they write my paycheck). I’d love to see if you can guess who everyone is in this screendance, so if you think you know, write it up in the comments and I’ll post a list on Monday.
