Why Twitter? That’s a question I used to ask myself all the time, and until January of this year I pretty much didn’t. I knew how to sign up and use Twitter, that wasn’t the problem. I didn’t get what the point of it all was. You’re sitting on a train right now? Who cares! You’re hungry? So eat! Seriously, it’s these common misunderstandings that may make some people wonder why they should Twitter. Sure, you can use Twitter to let your followers know that you woke up this morning and put your underwear on before your pants but there’s more to it than that. This video put together by the extremely creative folks over at commoncraft did a great job explaining Twitter in plain English. It’s really worth a look even if you do know what the heck to do with Twitter:

    I am all for Web 2.0, but I STILL don’t see the point of Twitter.

    Hi Thanks for this. Twitter is great tool to ask questions and twitter from your phone and other desk top applications like twhirl. As soon as people start following you you can tell them what you do. This is what I do:
    When I post an article from my blog it gets send to twitter and all my twitters are again send to my blog.
    Explore theres a lot of fun out there.
