Writer is a Web-based typewriter that gives you a place to quickly type some notes and share them via email or on your blog. There’s no sign up required, although I recommend it, and it’s simplicity and ease of use is what prompted me to share it with you here. You can use it as a diary, a food journal, a place to store notes, or even as a way to email a quick note to someone without sharing your email address.  Here’s my screencast tour of Writer:
