Alice.com is a new service that can help to keep your pantry, cleaning supplies, and toiletries stocked by reminding you when you need to purchase common household items, and then shipping them to you.

After you create your free account, simply browse through the different “rooms” that have items you need to stock up on. For example, in the bathroom you would find toilet paper, dental floss, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc. You can browse through products by brand, price, and even coupon savings. Since Alice automatically applies any coupons available to your order, you don’t need to worry about searching online for one. There are a lot of products available and I was able to find almost every brand that I already use, and most were offered at a lower price than I would pay at my neighborhood drugstore.

Alice will also allow you to select how long it will be before you think you’ll need the item again, and will send you a reminder to re-order so you don’t run out. Did I mention the best part yet? Shipping is FREE. Yep, I said free! This means that you can set up your account filled with all of the basics that you’ll always need and simply click a few buttons to have them sent to you. Right now I have laundry detergent, toilet paper, candles, and hand soap on the way. Not only were the prices great, but free shipping means that I don’t have to carry this stuff up to my apartment.
The only problem I had with Alice.com was that it never said when I would be receiving my items. I kept waiting to get some sort of notification after I had put in my credit card information, but all I got was a “Thank you for your order” and a printable receipt. I looked in the FAQ’s but couldn’t find any info there either. I also sent them an email but have yet to hear back. So now I’m sitting here with very little toilet paper, wondering if I should go to the store and stock up for a day, a week, or a month.
